Vodná stavba Králová je v smere toku Váhu zatiaľ poslednou vodnou stavbou s energetickým využitím. Okrem energetického využitia slúži na ochranu priľahlého územia pred povodňami, umožňuje veľkoplošné závlahy, ťažbu štrkov a vytvára možnosti pre rekreáciu, rybolov, šport a plavbu. Dielo tvoria hať, plavebná komora, vodná elektráreň a ľavostranná a pravostranná hrádza zdrže. Celý objem zdrže, okrem vyťažených štrkopieskov je nad úrovňou okolitého terénu. Hrádze zdrže sú sypané zo štrkopieskov, s návodným hlinitým tesnením, ktoré je chránené kamenným prísypom. Priepustné štrkopieskové podložie hrádzí je do hĺbky 12 – 20 m tesnené ílobetónovými podzemnými stenami o hrúbke 40 – 60 cm. Železobetónovú hať tvoria štyri 16 m široké polia, hradené oceľovým, 6,3 m vysokým, segmentom s klapkou o výške 3,6 m. Celková šírka hate je 84,0 m. Plavebná komora s užitočnou dĺžkou  110 m a svetlou šírkou 24 m vyhovuje potrebám vodnej cesty E 21-350. Medzi plavebnou komorou a haťou je situovaná vodná elektráreň. V elektrárni sú inštalované dve vertikálne Kaplanove turbíny s hltnosťou každej turbíny 210 m³.s^-1.

 

The hydraulic structure Králová is up to now, the last hydro power plant that can be found in Slovakia following the course of the river Váh. Apart from the generation of hydro power, it serves for flood protection, irrigation, gravel extraction, recreation, fishing, water sports and navigation. The hydraulic structure consists of a weir, a navigation lock, a hydro power plant and the right side and the left side dikes of the weir basin. All the volume of the weir basin, except for the extracted gravel, is situated above the level of the surrounding terrain. The dikes of the weir basin consist of sands and gravels, the body of the dike is sealed with a silt sealing blanket protected by riprap. The permeable gravel subsoil of the dikes is sealed to the depth of 12 – 20 m by slurry cut-off walls, which are 40 – 60 cm thick. The reinforced concrete weir consists of four 16 m wide fields, gated with a 6.3 m high steel tainter gate with a 3.6 m high flap. The total width of the weir is 84.0 m. The 110 m long and 24 m wide navigation lock fulfills the requirements of the waterway E 21-350. Between the navigation lock and the weir, a hydro power plant can be found. There are two vertical Kaplan turbines installed there, each one with an absorption capacity of 210 m³.s^-1.
